Miikana, which means "path" in Ojibwe, reflects both our individual journeys and the collective journey we’re on as a team.

For Donna and myself, this path has been one of discovery. Growing up in the city, we were disconnected from our community and culture as our father was part of the 60’s Scoop. Moving to Rama has given us the chance to reconnect with our Indigenous roots and embrace the traditions we weren’t exposed to growing up.

Carlos brings not only his expertise but also an incredible story of resilience—he’s a shark attack survivor and originally from Brazil. His determination and unique perspective inspire us every day, and together we’ve built Miikana as a reflection of our shared passion for meaningful connections and quality work.
